Steel Cut Oat Groats come from the inner most part of the oat kernel and have a nutty taste and a chewy texture. These oat groats are more natural and nutrient packed than rolled oats because they undergo minimal processing. Cooking time is longer for these oats than rolled oats and can be used in soups and stews as well as breads and baked goods.
